Setup guide

Add LeLoop to your website in about five minutes

In short: on Shopify, install LeLoop and switch it on in your theme editor. On any other website, sign up with your site's address, paste one line into your site's header, and press "Check my site". Then pick a template and your first popup is live.

On Shopify

LeLoop is a Shopify app, so there's no code to paste. After installing it, open LeLoop from your Shopify admin (Apps → LeLoop) and follow the setup checklist: Open theme editor takes you to App embeds, where you switch on LeLoop popups and save.

On any other website

  1. Sign up. Open the LeLoop dashboard, choose Not on Shopify? Add LeLoop to your website, and enter your site's address and your email. We email you a link; it works for 24 hours.
  2. Paste one line into your site's header. The link shows your line, with a Copy button. Where it goes depends on how your site is built (below). It needs to be on every page, so the header is the place.
  3. Check my site. Back on the page the link opened, press Check my site. LeLoop looks for your line on your home page; only the site's owner can put it there, which is how we know the site is yours. Found, you're signed in.
  4. Make your first popup. Popups → New popup, then pick a template: Newsletter, Waitlist, News & Events, or one with a discount. LeLoop writes two versions and tests them against each other for you. To see it straight away, press Preview live. On your site it appears after about 30 seconds, or sooner when a visitor scrolls down or moves to leave the page.

Where the line goes

Menu names change from time to time; if yours look different, search your site builder's help for "header code" or "custom code".

Squarespace

Code Injection → Header: paste the line on a new line under anything already there, then Save. Squarespace has moved Code Injection over the years: look under Settings → Developer Tools, Website → Pages → Custom code, or (older menus) Settings → Advanced. Searching "Code Injection" in Squarespace's own search finds it.

Needs a Core, Plus or Advanced plan (or an older Business or Commerce plan).

Wix

Settings → Custom code → + Add Custom Code: paste the line, choose All pages and Head, then Apply.

Needs a Wix Premium plan and a connected domain.

Webflow

Site settings → Custom code → Head code: paste the line, Save, then Publish the site.

Needs a paid Webflow site plan.

WordPress

Install a header-code plugin such as WPCode (Insert Headers and Footers), then Code Snippets → Header & Footer → Header: paste the line and Save.

On WordPress.com, plugins need a paid plan (Personal or higher).

A site of your own

Paste the line just before </head> in the template every page uses.

Questions

Will it slow my site down?

No. The script is about 20 KB compressed, loads without holding up your page, and waits until your page has finished loading before it shows anything. We measured it on a real store: no change to its Lighthouse speed score. (More on security and speed.)

What's different from Shopify?

Off Shopify, LeLoop can't create one-time discount codes in your store or see your orders, so two things aren't there yet: one-time codes (write your own code into the popup's text, like WELCOME10) and the "LeLoop earned you $X" number. The AI testing, templates, signups and most targeting (pages, traffic source, device, new or returning visitors, engagement) work the same. Cart-value rules, Smart Offers (a discount sized per visitor), optimizing for orders and image uploads need Shopify.

Where do the signups go?

To your dashboard, where you can export them any time. You can also send them to Mailchimp, Klaviyo or your own system: Settings → Integrations.

My site asks visitors for cookie consent.

LeLoop can follow your banner's answer, so visitors who say no see nothing and nothing is stored. Email us and we'll help you set it up.

"Check my site" says the line isn't there.

Make sure you saved (and, on Webflow, published), then wait a minute: some builders take a moment to update. Check you pasted it into the header section, not the footer or a single page. Still stuck? Reply to the email with your link, or write to leloop.team@gmail.com.

How do I remove LeLoop?

Delete the line from your site's header. To delete everything LeLoop holds for your site, go to Settings → Delete your store from LeLoop.

Ready?

Sign up with your site's address; it takes about five minutes.
